In March of this year, Khristopher Jones from the Westlake FFA chapter, was the winner in the State FFA Agri-Science Fair. Khris was selected as a National Finalist along with his partner in the project Chase Allgood. Khris’ project consisted of erosion of metal and substances that make metal rust.
Along with Khris’ accomplishments with the Agri-Science Project, Khris was also the state winner of Swine Proficiency in Placement. He went on to the National Competition were he was given a bronze ranking for his accomplishments in Swine Proficiency.
Khris has been the farm director of the school farm and has worked with the hogs in feeding, breeding and farrowing. Khris is a senior at Westlake High School and is serving as the Student Advisor for the Westlake FFA Chapter.
