The Law, Public Safety, Corrections & SecurityCareer Cluster focuses on preparing students for employment in careers that relate to the planning, managing and providing legal, public safety, protective services and homeland security, including professional and technical support services. Students who choose this career cluster as an area of focus will take classes such as Emergency Medical Responder, Medical Forensics and Law Enforcement.

Police and sheriff’s patrol officers are found in local, state, and federal agencies throughout Utah. According to the Utah Department of Workforce Services, there are 3,742 total agencies who employ police and sheriff’s patrol officers.
