On November 15, to an audience of professionals, teachers, administrators and parents, students from the Interior Design 3 class at Lone Peak High School presented their design ideas for the district house currently under construction in Lehi.
Two groups of students created design boards to address everything from exterior & interior paint colors, to flooring materials, kitchen and cabinet design, and decorative tile and wood accents. Final design choices will be a collaborative decision between the teams and the teachers of both the design and carpentry classes.
After the presentation, students Cassia Armstrong, Audrey Cannon, Mckenzie Harper, Angeli Jones, Sydney Ostrom, and Kendall Pew had the opportunity to consult with local design professionals, Amy Curtain and Joseph Ward, who provided valuable feedback and suggestions as they move forward to choose final design and finishes.
