Hospitality and Tourism
The Hospitality & Tourism Career Cluster focuses on preparing students for employment in careers that relate to the management, marketing and operations of restaurants and other food services, lodging, attractions, recreation events and travel related services.
There are two Career Pathways offered through this career cluster which include:
According to the National Restaurant Association, in Utah, restaurant and food service jobs represent 10 percent of employment in the state. Through the year 2026, growth is projected at 13.3 percent. Restaurant jobs represent 9 percent of employment in Utah.
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
Future Business Leaders of America is an extracurricular student organization that provides students with opportunities for leadership, community involvement, business partnerships, and competition with other students in business related events. FBLA’s mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)
FCCLA is the only in-school student organization with the family as its central focus. FCCLA is an extracurricular student organization that functions as an integral part of the Family and Consumer Sciences education curriculum and operates within the school system, and it provides opportunities for active student participation at local, state, and national levels.
